At Eagles Nest, both general massage and specialty sessions include complimentary aromatherapy, hot towels, and hot packs. Each session also receives an additional 30 min of appointment time, in order to speak with your massage therapist and transition into and out of the room, so you are never rushed.
General Therapeutic Massage:
This session is tailored to each client, to be therapeutic in nature. It may include a full body massage with a focus area, depending on the length of time, and has a general goal of relaxation and rejuvenation. Your therapist will discuss with you your areas of tension, and what type of pressure you are looking for throughout your session.
For the client who wants very deep pressure throughout the entire session. Provided by all Eagles Nest therapists.
To address a specific problem which requires advanced techniques used by the therapist. This may include such issues such as Rotator Cuff Dysfunction, Sciatic pain, IT Band Syndrome, and many more. Provided by all Eagles Nest therapists.
We provide a pregnancy table and specific body contour cushions to allow the client to be supported and relaxed. The massage is geared towards the woman’s needs during her pregnancy. Please call to schedule this appointment so that you can tell us where you are at in your pregnancy as this affects how the table is set up prior to your session. Provided by all Eagles Nest therapists.
Bringing the body back into balance through gentle manipulation of the craniosacral system (includes the skull, spine and pelvic bones). May be helpful for any problems involving sensory, motor or neurological problems, as well as chronic head/spine pain. This session will be primarily performed face up, and involves contacting the body at particular placements, and holding the head/neck at specific angles to provide passive release. The client may be fully clothed for this work if desired.
Our bodies, muscles and tendons are all wrapped in connective tissue – this modality helps to release the disruptive connective tissue patterns of the body by kneading and stretching the tissue with slow sustained pressure.
Based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body; stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, and serve as a preventive maintenance. This session involves specific techniques applied to the hands and feet.
Incorporates a light, slow moving massage technique that follows specific patterns of lymph movement in the body to help restore proper lymph flow. This technique is very gentle, and involves time for the body to physically process the fluid being moved: in a full Lymphatic Drainage only session, there will be time that your body is resting/processing, and the Massage Therapist is not touching you.
This is a 30 minute pre or post event session in which the therapist uses specific techniques to either enhance the athlete’s performance or speed recovery.
Must be scheduled by phone. A healing technique using pure essential oils which have antiviral, antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties to create healing and cleansing through structural and energetic alignment to the body. These essential oils are dropped gently on the spine and then lightly massaged in using various techniques. The practitioner dispenses the oils along the client’s spine like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches. The oils are gently brushed up the spine and lightly massaged over the rest of the back. The purpose of the therapy is to bring total balance, harmony, and body wellness – mental, physical, and emotional. This application is an additional charge to a specialty session. By itself requires a 30 minute session or can be added to a longer length specialty session using the extra time for massage.
Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu is a form of Japanese massage that is performed through clothing. It includes the same points used in Acupuncture, without the needles. This is a full body session involving kneading, pressure points, and stretches. Please wear soft athletic clothing for this session.
