Based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body; stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, and serve as a preventive maintenance. This session involves specific techniques applied to the hands and feet. Please call to schedule this specific modality.
THIS IS NOT MASSAGE. Lymphatic drainage incorporates a light, slow moving technique that follows specific patterns of lymph movement in the body to help restore proper lymph flow. This technique is very gentle, and involves time for the body to physically process the fluid being moved: in a full Lymphatic Drainage only session, there will be time that your body is resting/processing, and the Massage Therapist is not touching you. Please call to schedule this specific modality.
This is an ancient style of bodywork that originates from the Hawaiian islands. It involves a combination of working deeply with the anatomic map of the body as well as the energy field of an individual. Lomi Lomi seeks to treat the mind, body, and spirit and is conducted with prayers, intention, and attention. It includes a wide variety of tools; range of motion, deep tissue techniques, working the joints and tendons of their associated muscle attachments, as well as smooth, sweeping forearm strokes which are intended to mimic the flow of ocean waves. The nervous system is encouraged to slow down through the use of figure eight motions that activate both hemispheres of the brain; energy is then able to flow, thus creating a space for the techniques to be received rather than pushing through a blockage in muscle tissue. Draping for this technique will differ from a Swedish routine, but can absolutely be modified for your comfort level. The essence of Lomi Lomi is love and “Aloha.” The intention of this modality is to establish wholeness and heal the world one individual at a time. Currently NOT provided at Eagles Nest.

Clients should wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing for these sessions. Please call to schedule this specific modality.
Energy Medicine is intended to balance and restore your body's natural energies to increase your vitality, strengthen your mental capacities, and optimize your health. This practice is developed and taught by Donna Eden and explained in her book Energy Medicine. The techniques used in this session trace back to ancient healing and spiritual traditions, just like yoga, tai chi and acupuncture. The modern form used at Eagles Nest does not require adherence to any particualr set of beliefs or practices. One core thought is your personal well-being and effectiveness are directly related to the state of your body's energies. Another core concept is your body has an innate ability to heal, and you can participate in the healing process. This is a 60 minute session and clients remain fully clothed. Techniques may involve certain postures or movements, as well as touching, tapping, holding, pressing upon, tracing or circling over specified areas of the body. Provided by Leigh Wright.
Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu is a form of Japanese massage that is performed through clothing. It includes the same points used in Acupuncture, without the needles. This is a full body session involving kneading, pressure points, and stretches. Please wear soft athletic clothing for this session. Currently NOT provided at Eagles Nest.
This application is an additional $20 charge to any session. Can be added onto any length of session but 60 minutes or longer is preferred. Please schedule by phone as there are a limited number of therapists who are trained in this technique.
Aromatouch is a healing technique using pure essential oils which have antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to create healing and cleansing through structural and energetic alignment to the body. The practitioner dispenses the oils along the client’s spine like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches. The oils are gently brushed up the spine and lightly massaged over the rest of the back. The purpose of the therapy is to bring total balance, harmony, and body wellness – mental, physical, and emotional. Provided by our therapists Kelly, Brittny, Lydia, and Hilary.
